Each work is strictly respected in its structure, composition and progression, while being integrated into a fluid and coherent overall form.

The rearrangement, by Olivier Wenkin, highlights an assertive metronomic spirit, resonating with Satie's aesthetic: a regular, almost mechanical pulse that supports slowness, repetition and the suspension of time. This constant beat acts as a common thread, linking the pieces together and revealing their deep musical kinship.
